PRE Film Club

The Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) department runs two film clubs each half term – one for Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9), and one for Key Stages 4 and 5 (Years 10 to 13). The clubs show films that link with the topics that the students are studying in their PRE lessons, with the purpose of encouraging students to broaden their general religious knowledge and to prompt discussion on philosophical and ethical issues in a relaxed forum.

The Key Stage 3 club will meet for the first time this year on Wednesday, 6 November, after school in room 12. Popcorn and soft drinks are provided! This year, students will be asked to vote for the films they would like to see; all available films link with the concept of stewardship and ethics. Trailers for the available films, along with an electronic voting slip, will be emailed to those involved.

If you have any questions about our film club, or have suggestions for films we should watch, please email Nikki McGee, Head of PRE.
