Students Learn from Local Businesses

Farmer Palmer’s in Organford recently hosted 55 of our Year 10 GCSE business studies students for a morning investigating entrepreneurism – starting up and running a business. It was a wonderful experience and the students were greatly interested and energised by all they saw and heard. Special thanks to Sandra Palmer for facilitating this wonderful opportunity.

Furthermore, at Purbeck Ice Cream, the Hartles kindly took 16 Year 13 A Level business studies students on a tour of their site’s production facilities and gave a talk on the firm’s strategic direction. The students were fortunate enough to take part in vanilla ice cream benchmarking, which was very popular!

We are always grateful to local businesses who generously give of their time and expertise to enliven and enrich the learning of our business studies students.
