More success for Year 7 Rowing Team

On Wednesday, 29 July, four Year 7 girls travelled to Bryanston School to compete in the Dorset School Games Indoor Rowing Championships. The event was held at Bryanston School in their superb rowing club house down on the river. The four students were lucky enough to gain some top coaching tips from world champion and silver Olympic medallist Annabel Vernon, who attended the event.

Each competitor raced in individual heats and then raced as a team in the team relay. A huge congratulations to Charlotte Dooker, who came third overall in the individual competition, Bevin White, who came in sixth, Lily Gray, ninth, and Lauren Tyler, eleventh overall out of 25 competitors.

The students had been training hard on their relay change over and worked excellently as a team to come first in the team relay, just crossing the line before Talbot Heath and Purbeck.

All individual and relay scores were added together for a final result. Lytchett was very proud to come second overall.

Congratulations to Lily Gray, Charlotte Dooker, Bevin White and Lauren Tyler.
